[Tuesday, December 14, 2004] . CaMbOdIa : DaYs oF workInG aNd PlaYiNg]

The first day we arrived, we had a 40 mins ride to our 'house' for the next 9 days. The dinner was really unexpected as they are normal home cooked food in singapore, chicken soup and vege. i thought it will be food that is totally not the same.

The first day of our working day, at first tot is just moving rocks to the bank doin embarkment, but in the end we become doin the fountation of the school in which is the digging holes process. We used the shavel(dunnoe the spelling well) also many other digging tools la... i dun have much strength so i did not do much of the digging but more on the carrying of soil to a specific place. After all the holes are dug, we fill them back again, but with different compounds. Thats when we start to make cement, it is also the part where i look forward to beri much..i think is quite fun lor, but in actual fact it is really very tiring even worst than digging holes..haha..than we filled the holes with layers of sands, stones, water and cement.. than the last day of our working day, we help in fillin the last layers ( the sands) and use a big stone height about my waist, bery heavy, to flatten the sand. Beri fun also..like flintstone..haha..

thinking way back in singapore the tools we used all all machinery, we gt digging machines, than the flattening tools we also used machine.. though we used all real man power, but is beri fun as u definitely wont get a chance to do it in singapore..their working style also quite relax, not that stress like in singapore. we work in the morning for about 9 to 12, than 12 to 2 break as the sun is too hot, than 2 to 4 plus work again..

OkaY.. fiNiSh wiTh tHe wOrk nOw iS thE iNtEraCtIoN tImE!!

we basically gt 2 days with the villagers.
The first day, which is the kidworks day. We played london bridge is fallin down with them, also honky ponky, teach them colours, and lastly is the hand prints section!. I was with 2 boys, 1 is the paster's son, another i forgt the name le..hehehe..i am there helpin to distribute drawing papers for them to paste theirs colourful handprints... i can see they really fasinated and hav fun lor..so niceeee.....i think they will treasure that piece of paper more than the children in singapore would. i also know some groups of gals..they asked mi whether we will be back tml but i sae most likely..haha..anyway i was in a rush to catch up with the rest.. dunnoe why i always about the last to leave like that..haiZz..

than the second day which is a sunday..we played their games with them..them games are quite similar..gt one is jus like dog and bone but they use leaves as the bone la..their forfeit also beri cute.. make the losin team dance towards them..hahaha.. gt one part where we lost and were asked to do cat walk..hahaha..so funny lor... also saw their chicken fight.. so ke lian sia the chicken.. feel sad about the chicken..but in the end also dunnoe who lose la..haha..than we went to play balloons..half way i was off to do balloon scrupturing...soo happi..cos i myself also get to learn to make flower, swords and the best of all dogs..haha.. and also see their happi faces..haha..feel so great..but too bad the balloons are not enough to cater to everyone..in the end we went to blow the normal balloons..but they still like it.. it is really hard to sae good bye when the events is over.. some of us even cried.. while walking back some of the village gals walk the same way..than we walk together..talk awhile than sae byebye le..hehehe..

We also gt a basketball match with the guys in their high schools..our team lost..haha.. than the gals team.. we played captain's ball.. as they dunnoe how to play they lose out alot..than we ask our team to ' fang shui ' but wai wen really beri li hai fang shui sia..haha.. so funny..than later we changed and i went to play.. this time we mixed with the high school's gals..half half la..haha..beri fun also.. my team win..haha..lalalala...

than the last second day we stayed in the village, in the afternoon about 4 we went to pastor house to see them kill the crocodile..wah.... spectacular sia..haha..power..slashed till dunnoe like wat le still can move..OMG.. it really a tough animal... than later in the evening we invited the gals for bbq..
at first when they came they were quite shy but after awhile when we played ' lao ying chua xiao ji 'and play the fire sparklers and party poppers..so fun!.. we even exchanged address for future mailin..haha.. we even give them a light stick as it is quite dark when they go back so use the light stick as light bulb lor..haha.. after they left,left the workers and we played games..sing songs..almost cried when singing as the song really like auld lang syne that pattern one lor..

the rest of the 3 days is our touring days and the visit to our singapore ambassdor..lazy to type about the touring part..so thats all..wahahahah....
